JAMZ
Over the last year, JAMZ has pushed the sub-frequency in Chinatown to another level with his bass heavy Dubstep sets. A major proponent behind the Honolulu Dubstep scene, if he’s not tearing up the back patio at Broken Liquid or in the bass den of Subphonix, he’s spending time designing flyers, digging for tunes, or crafting beats in the studio. Catch him this Friday as he opens with an exclusive Ragga-Dub set and finishes the night off with some str8 heat for all you Hardstep heads. You don’t wanna miss it!

T.K.O.
If you didnt know, The Tele.Kinetic.One. has been making major moves on the forefront of the EDM scene in Honolulu. Whether it’s his radio show on KTUH, his record store on Ebay, or his monthly gigs in Chinatown, T.K.O. is consistently pushing the emerging genres of Dubstep, Grime, and GlitchHop to the hungry underground community. His sets are most notable for their intense energy and defined selection, pulling out the freshest unreleased tracks that he’s accumulated through endless hours of networking. This Friday guarantees to be a pleasure for anyone that enjoys quality beats with bass.

Thread
Artisan of the needles, Thread has been on the cutting edge of the Dubstep scene in Honolulu since its conception. Being true to the Vinyl DJ culture, there has been no record in the worldwide Dubstep movement that has missed this man’s ear. And Threads commitment to Dubstep doesn’t stop there, as he spends the majority of his time in the lab producing unforeseen dopeness yet to come. If you’re searching for the deepest bass you can find on the islands, Thread promises to give you that gut-punching whomp to keep your heads nodding all night. Expect nothing less than the crunkest beats and the fattest bass-lines from this man on Friday.

Three local favorites are on deck this month to rip up Subphonix like only they can do.

THD
Broken Liquid, Pacific Jungle
THD (The Hedgehog’s Dilemma) has been establishing himself as a staple in the Hawaii Drum & Bass scene over the past several years, sharing the stage next to heavyweights like Dara, Ed Rush, and Optical, as well as winning over the local heads with his eclectic sound, ranging from Liquid Funk to Tech Step. This talented DJ is as prolific as they come as he constantly digging for the best tracks out there (and we mean constantly!) to help you get your bass on.

T.K.O.
KTUH, Organized Grime, Pacific Jungle
When TKO (aka Tele.Kinetic.One) isn’t in the studio hosting his Sunday Night show Inner Dimensions on KTUH Radio, he can be found out in Honolulu gigging the night or cruising with friends at an event. His sound and influences come from many genres, lending to his keen ability to keep things fresh on the decks. As both a devout leader and follower of the Hawaii drum and bass and dubstep movement, he’s in tune with the sounds that make Hawaii move.

Pacific Jungle’s Memorial Day Weekend Stimulus Package!!! Check it out:

The Lineup…

T.K.O.GLITCH - KTUH, Organized Grime, Pacific Jungle – T.K.O. is one of Honolulu’s strongest proponents of emerging genres of EDM, such as dubstep, grime, and glitch. He’s put down a few absolutely mad glitch sets at Broken Liquid and expect even more madness from the man at Stimulus!

Sam OndaroxFIDGETBassick, Pacific Jungle – So you say you like your Drum & Bass and Dubstep, well, you’ve never heard “house music” like this. When Sam Ondarox gets on the decks at Stimulus, get your bassfaces on cause you’re gonna give ‘em a workout. Nasty-noises will abound!

Victor JUK GarageBroken Liquid, Pacific Jungle – Seeming at times to have musical A.D.D., this man will play anything from dubstep to breaks to trance to hip hop, but he’s quite possibly one of the only DJs in Honolulu brave enough to lay down a real UK Garage set. You’ll hear this stuff nowhere else on this island!

SayaDrum & BassBroken Liquid, Subphonix, Pacific Jungle – This is a Pacific Jungle event after all, so there must be some Drum & Bass somewhere, right? Saya will come with a crazy track selection, playing everything from the liquidiest liquid to the techiest techstep. She’s been in the lab mixing up some free CDs too, so don’t forget to grab one!

ThreadDUBSTEPOrganized Grime, Pacific Jungle – One of Pacific Jungle’s artists from way back, we’ve seen Thread migrate from Ragga Jungle to Dubstep becoming one of the founders of Honolulu’s Dubstep movement. We hear he’s been hoarding the new tunes, just waiting to unleash the bass for Stimulus!

MC EnemyTHE HYPE, THE LYRICSAudiolab, Subphonix, Pacific Jungle – One of Honolulu’s greatest MCs for any genre, this man loves his Drum & Bass and Dubstep. Come and hear him flow, you’ll be amazed!

After what’s already become the start of a great year for Subphonix, we have another big night of talented DJs to light up the stage. Los Angeles based DJ and scene veteran Jo-S headlines the show with a trail of success in the wake of his recent creative endeavors. With some of his work recently featured on DJ Friction’s label Shogun Limited, Atlantic Connection’s Westbay International, & Doc Scott’s 31 Records, he’s got a lot of hard work backing that success.

‘i have never met dj friction before that moment. i was back stage watching hoping he would play my tune and at about 45 minutes into his set i heard him mixing it in. sp mc gave me a look and waved me on stage. as he passed me the mic friction stopped his set and dropped “emeralds” from the top! i nailed the verse and the crowd was really digging it. that was a huge moment for me. it set a milestone in my career. i am honored to have a tune signed to one the most highly regarded drum and bass labels. to have performed with one of the best dj’s in the world was truley awe inspiring for me.’ [...] “

This time Toki takes to the back patio to drop a fidget set for a guaranteed fun time.

Toki at Broken Liquid

Victor J & Monkey round out the night back there with their individual brands of quirky surprises.

Dubzilla mastermind, Jamz brings the heavy beats to the front room with dubstep and liquid Drum & Bass just to switch it up a bit.

Jamz!

Saya & THD keep it smooth inside the rest of the night.

It’s always free folks and always a dope vibe. Swing by for just a drink or stay the whole night, either way, we love to see your lovely faces.

Hugs and liquid bass…
